Martin
Butler is a stand-up comedian and improvisational actor,
long associated with Motor City Improv
before joining the cast in the fall of 2002. You may remember Marty
as the stand-up comedian who opened shows for MCI at the Wunderground
Theatre and Village Idiot Pub. He has also performed with
the likes of Lewis Black (from Comedy Central's "The
Daily Show"), Kathleen Madigan and Maryellen
Hooper; all past winners of the American Comedy Award's
highest honor. Marty knows how to keep good company.
Prior to his work with Motor
City Improv, Marty has also performed as a member of
several Detroit-area troupes since leaving the Second
City-Detroit conservatory in 2000. But did you know that Marty
used to be a talk radio personality on the nationally-syndicated "Jerry
Klein Show"? Or that he also worked with world-famous
lawyer Geoffrey Fieger on the nationally-syndicated "Fiegertime"
radio show? Now you do.
Marty resides outside of
Ann Arbor, where people wear medallions and live life slow.
